HAYGOOD Child Development Center

Attendance and Admission Process
Thank you for your interest in Haygood Child Development Center/ Haygood Hut.
We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment in which children may learn, love and grow.
It is also our hope to be a program that fosters collaboration between our teaching staff and our
families.

The process for admission is as follows:
1.) A completed and signed application submitted with the application fee will register a student
to an age specific wait list for the next academic school year.
Haygood CDC receives an extensive number of applications for consideration during the
application period. For this reason, Haygood CDC does not assure enrollment.
2.) Billing begins at the start of the school year for all accepted students.
3.) Families of infants who are not born by June 1 st and accepted in the program are required to
pay 6 weeks after the baby is born.
A) Classroom placements are based on space availability for children, teacher and child
ratios, boy to girl ratio, and room strategy in the planning of our age appropriate
classrooms.

PLEASE NOTE: Placement on a wait list does not guarantee admission into the program.
4.) Haygood CDC will immediately contact a family on the wait list when an appropriate space is
available for their consideration. At that time, the family will have 5 calendar days to accept or
decline the opening. At the time of acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of a child’s first month’s
tuition will be required to secure the child’s placement in our program.

5.) Please contact Haygood CDC to remove your child’s application from the wait list when
other arrangements have been made and you are no longer waiting for a school opening.
About openings in the program:
Openings only become available when an enrolled child transitions to the next age level or when
a family withdraws from the program. It is for this reason that we ask families who continue to
be a part of the wait list to consider actively pursuing other child care options when an opening
has not yet been made available.

About religion:
Haygood Child Development Center is a ministry of Haygood United Methodist Church. We
welcome children and staff from all faiths, races and nationalities. Our school is founded on the
belief that each person is a child of God and deserving of love, acceptance and support. We share
this faith with children as we help them see themselves as persons of worth. The completed
information that applicants provide, regarding church affiliation and religion, helps us understand
the diversity of our enrolled population.
